Volunteer Tasks at Defy

Many tasks include sorting plastic by type and colour, taking it through our wash process (ie delabelling, cutting and placing into machines for washing).

Volunteers may be involved in the shredding process, using our industrial shredder to turn the clean plastic pieces into small flakes ready for manufacturing.

Other tasks may involve the manufacturing (loading machines with plastic) and post-processing (trimming new products, completing orders ready for shipping).
